What you will do

• Integrate sensors, onboard compute, and distributed robotics subsystems across perception, control, and ML workflows.
• Design and maintain reliable data pipelines, middleware interfaces, and communication frameworks for constrained networks.
• Optimize system performance across CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and network resources.
• Deploy and maintain software on embedded and edge platforms using Docker and CI/CD workflows.
• Implement observability, testing, and validation tools to support debugging and operational reliability.
• Ensure systems degrade gracefully under high load, intermittent connectivity, or partial failure.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Python.
• Experience with Linux systems programming, containerization (Docker), and DevOps practices for robotics.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including transport protocols, latency, and throughput.
• Experience with robotics middleware (ROS/ROS2, DDS) and integrating real hardware systems.
• Familiarity with embedded platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson, FPGA, or RTOS.
• Must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder, or eligible for authorization from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with multicopter drones and autopilot systems (PX4, ArduPilot).
• Experience with simulation stacks like Isaac Sim or Gazebo.
• Knowledge of GPU pipelines (CUDA, TensorRT) and high-throughput data (video, radar, RF).
• Experience with SLAM, perception pipelines, and production ML inference systems.
• Knowledge of time synchronization (PTP, NTP) and distributed systems design patterns.
