Data Engineer (Fintech)

What You’ll Do

• Build pipelines supporting ingestion, analysis, and enrichment of financial data in partnership with business data analysts.
• Improve existing pipelines to increase throughput and accuracy of data processing.
• Develop and maintain process controls, metrics, and automated quality gates.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to design, test, and implement new processes and tooling for data quality and efficiency.
• Identify automation opportunities and recommend data model extensions.
• Use AI-assisted development workflows including LLM tools for code review, test generation, and documentation.

Requirements

• Prior professional data engineering or analysis experience.
• Experience with object-oriented programming in PySpark/Python.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience in data modeling, ETL pipelines, and visualization.
• Comfort working with AI/LLM tools in development workflows; curiosity and willingness to adopt new tooling.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom from day one; no visa sponsorship.
