Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Security Architect (Cybersecurity): Designing and maintaining enterprise security architecture for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) with an accent on federal cybersecurity mandates and secure architecture validation. Focus on aligning systems with NIST, FISMA, RMF, and Zero Trust standards across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

Location: Remote (Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance)

What you will do

• Establish and maintain enterprise security architecture aligned with federal cybersecurity mandates.
• Design and validate secure architectures across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Ensure strict alignment with NIST, FISMA, RMF, Zero Trust, and other federal standards.
• Conduct architecture reviews, risk assessments, and security engineering evaluations.
• Support integration of SOC/NOC tools including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and IDS/IPS.
• Develop architecture documentation, technical standards, and security diagrams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture or engineering.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Possession of professional certifications: CISSP, CISM, or SSCP (or equivalent leadership certifications).
• Experience supporting large-scale, complex cybersecurity environments.

Nice to have

• Experience working in federal or highly regulated environments.
