Salary: £59,966 - £67,468

What you will do
- Provide senior academic leadership and strategic development for the PGCE programme in Wales.
- Lead the design, review, and enhancement of the programme-level curriculum and modules.
- Manage operational delivery and support Curriculum Tutors through workload allocation and performance management.
- Oversee school partnerships across Wales to ensure high-quality placement learning experiences.
- Ensure strict compliance with EWC, Estyn, and Welsh Government ITE policies.
- Contribute to business planning and the financial sustainability of the programme.
Requirements
- Honours degree and Master’s degree in education or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Significant leadership experience in Initial Teacher Education (ITE) or teacher development.
- In-depth knowledge of the Welsh education system and the Curriculum for Wales.
- Ability and willingness to travel across Wales and work regularly from the Cardiff office.
- Proven ability to design and deliver higher education curricula using digital technologies.
Nice to have
- Fluent Welsh (oral and written).
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as Estyn or EWC.
- Higher Education teaching qualification or recognition (e.g., Advance HE Fellowship).
- Experience leading organisational change or process improvement activity.
