What you will do
- Establish comprehensive Credit Risk Management Framework approved by the Board, aligned with risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Develop 1st and 2nd line operating model to enable transition from unregulated to regulated credit operations.
- Define and monitor quantitative/qualitative credit risk appetite statements, reporting monthly to CRO, Risk Committee, and Board.
- Conduct independent reviews of underwriting policies, credit models, portfolio strategies, and new initiatives.
- Build model risk management framework with validation, back-testing, and performance monitoring.
- Design portfolio stress testing and scenario analysis for capital planning and provisioning.
- Provide independent oversight of credit loss provisioning under IFRS 9 and Colombian standards.
- Govern credit risk data quality, reconciliation, and reporting standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years in credit risk across full lifecycle, with 5+ years in 2nd line oversight in regulated context.
- Track record establishing/transforming credit risk governance in high-growth environments.
- Expertise in defining, monitoring, and reporting credit risk appetite statements.
- Strong understanding of Colombian financial regulations (Superfinanciera) or ability to learn quickly.
- Experience with IFRS 9 provisioning, model validation, back-testing, and stress testing.
- Fluent English communication for high-level reporting.
- Proficiency in portfolio monitoring, EWI frameworks, and collections analytics.
