What you will do
- Review system updates and configuration changes to align curriculum with the latest CANES fleet baseline.
- Develop and maintain courseware, lesson plans, student guides, presentation materials, and practical lab exercises.
- Apply Instructional System Design methodology to define requirements and establish learning objectives.
- Utilize Navy authoring tools such as CPM/LOM and AIM to develop and manage curriculum.
- Deliver instructor-led classroom and hands-on instruction to support pilot courses and fleet training events.
- Collaborate with engineering and program teams to ensure training products remain aligned with system modernization efforts.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in electronics, shipboard networks, or related C4I systems.
- Navy Basic Instructor Training (NEC 805A or 9502) or an industry-recognized certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Trainer or CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer).
- Hands-on experience with Navy Shipboard Networks, including CANES or other TACNET systems.
- Cybersecurity Workforce qualification within nine months of assignment per DoD 8570 and DoD 8140.
- Experience using Navy authoring tools such as CPM/LOM or AIM and applying the Instructional System Design process.
Nice to have
- Designation as a Navy Master Training Specialist.
- Prior shipboard CANES or TACNET system administration experience.
- Experience supporting fleet modernization or system upgrade training initiatives.
- Experience conducting pilot courses or formal fleet refresher training.
