Engineering Technician III

Engineering Technician III (Electronics): Perform technical evaluations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of Depot Level Repairable (DLR) USN electronics and subassemblies with an accent on component-level analysis and resolving Fleet Casualty Reports. Focus on developing and updating testing methods, work instructions, and conducting Beyond Economic Analyses on returned materials.

What you will do

• Provide technical evaluations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of Depot Level Repairable (DLR)
• Resolve Fleet Casualty Reports (CASREPs) and provide technical support
• Maintain and update Bench Stock Repair Parts
• Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot USN electronics and subassemblies down to the component level
• Develop and update testing methods, equipment, and work instructions for electronics
• Accurately record parts used and hours spent; perform Beyond Economic Analyses on DLR material
• Assemble or construct simple equipment, conduct tests, record data, and extract engineering data

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or formal electronics training from Technical School, military school, or four-year apprentice program; or HS diploma/GED
• 7 years experience including design/preparation/modification of engineering documents (or 5 years with degree/formal training)
• Or 2 years with degree/training or 4 years with HS/GED of practical experience in assembly, testing, data recording, and processing
• Capable of standardized assignments with explicit instructions on unfamiliar tasks
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Top Secret eligibility preferred.
• Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified in 9 months
