What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes across Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan, the Philippines, and South Africa.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4 payroll and compensation specialists based in Manila.
  • Oversee payroll execution across both direct employment and Employer of Record (EOR) models.
  • Ensure full compliance with global employment laws, statutory reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Implement process improvements and automation to increase payroll accuracy and scalability.
  • Collaborate with People, Finance, and Legal teams on global compensation benchmarking and total rewards strategy.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in global payroll and compensation management.
  • Proven experience managing payroll operations across multiple geographies, specifically AU, UK, DE, JP, PH, and ZA.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote teams.
  • Deep understanding of international payroll compliance and employment tax.
  • Proficiency with payroll platforms (Deel, Employment Hero), HRIS (BambooHR), and Excel.
  • Must be based in New South Wales, Australia
