What you will do

• Design and develop Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Build rapid prototypes and proofs-of-concept for new product ideas with fast iteration cycles.
• Create intuitive, responsive UIs optimized for constrained or small-screen devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, backend, and embedded engineers.
• Translate product requirements into functional and scalable mobile solutions.
• Perform code reviews, debug application behavior, and optimize performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Solid understanding of Android architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• Experience with REST APIs, data handling, and version control (Git).
• Proven experience in rapid prototyping and MVP development.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in downtown San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience with edge devices, embedded systems, or connected products.
