TL;DR

Principal Emulation Engineer (Semiconductor/SoC): Developing and optimizing complex SubSystem emulation models for high-performance SoCs with an accent on design integration, environment setup, and hardware-software co-verification. Focus on driving emulation bring-up, debugging complex SoC issues across RTL and firmware, and optimizing runtime efficiency on industry-leading platforms.

Location: Santa Clara, CA or Irvine, CA. Applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws (EAR).

Salary: $158,600 - $237,600 per annum

What you will do

  • Lead the development of complex SubSystem emulation models using Veloce, ZeBu, and Palladium platforms.
  • Drive emulation bring-up, including clock/reset sequencing, firmware boot, and system validation.
  • Create and execute detailed emulation test plans to support verification, performance analysis, and software development.
  • Collaborate with RTL design, verification, and firmware teams to ensure seamless model integration.
  • Debug complex SoC and subsystem issues spanning RTL, firmware, and toolchain interactions.
  • Automate flows and enhance productivity through Python, Perl, Tcl, and shell scripting.

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of verification and firmware/software development experience (5+ years for MS/PhD).
  • Expertise in System Verilog, UVM, and Object-Oriented Design.
  • Proficiency with Linux O.S. and scripting languages (Python or Perl).
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and ARM assembly.
  • Eligibility to access export-controlled information as defined under applicable U.S. law.
