What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models for search ranking, query understanding, and recommendation systems.
• Build information retrieval systems operating over complex product taxonomies, knowledge graphs, and structured/unstructured metadata.
• Create relevance models to capture nuanced relationships between customer intent, product capabilities, and domain context.
• Advance both traditional discovery experiences and agentic discovery using multi-agent systems.
• Conduct experiments and A/B tests to measure and improve the relevance of discovery features.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to integrate AI/ML solutions into production systems.

Requirements

• PhD in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications.
• Proficiency in programming with Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
• Must be based in or able to work from Seattle, WA, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with knowledge graphs, entity resolution, or taxonomy-based retrieval systems.
• Expertise in learning-to-rank, semantic search, or neural information retrieval techniques.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and large-scale data processing (Spark).
• Familiarity with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or agentic AI systems.
• A track record of published research or patents in relevant AI/ML areas.
