What you will do

• Develop and validate SOH and RUL models for used BEVs in collaboration with analytics and engineering teams.
• Interpret battery degradation based on operational vehicle data.
• Compare on-board battery health estimates with off-board model results and explain deviations.
• Assess key aging drivers such as temperature, SOC, depth of discharge, and charging behavior.
• Define practical limitations and confidence levels for battery lifetime estimates.
• Translate battery health and RUL insights into recommendations for sales, leasing, and residual value.

Requirements

• Technical education in battery technology, electrochemistry, electrical engineering, or materials science.
• Strong expertise in Li-ion battery technology and degradation mechanisms.
• Experience with battery lifetime assessment, including calendar and cycle aging.
• Proficiency in interpreting battery data from vehicles, BMS systems, or diagnostics.
• Ability to critically assess battery model outputs for technical and business relevance.
• English: Working language proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience with BEVs, particularly commercial vehicles or high-utilization applications.
• Knowledge of used-vehicle battery health and second-life planning.
• Basic proficiency in Python or SQL to review and validate analysis results.
