Senior Systems Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Systems Engineer (Networking): Designing, implementing, and maintaining network systems for integration with clients and market data vendors with an accent on network performance and reliability. Location: Must report to hirify.global’s Austin, TX office 3 days per week (Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week).

Salary: $135,000 – $165,000

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain network systems to integrate with clients, market data vendors, and internal networks.
• Monitor and analyze network performance to identify and troubleshoot reliability issues.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configuration files, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and applications into the network infrastructure.
• Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders to resolve network-related problems efficiently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of industry experience in systems engineering or a related occupation.
• Experience with Network Infra builds, Arista EOS cloud routers, and Cisco CSR routers in AWS.
• Proficiency with Wireshark packet captures, VLAN, VTP, Port-Channel, Stacking, VPC, and VDC.
• Experience with HSRP, VRRP, Cisco Catalyst, and Nexus platforms.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols: RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and VRF.
