Zscaler Engineer (Freelance)

Zscaler Engineer (Freelance): Install, configure, manage, and monitor Zscaler security solutions (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) in a Zero Trust networking environment for a financial institution with an accent on security, compliancy, and enterprise operations. Focus on identifying and escalating security incidents, performing independent analysis and projects, maintaining documentation, and responding to end-user inquiries.

Location: Hybrid (The Hague, Netherlands) - partly from home and partly from the office; available for changes or on-call outside office hours; mostly online collaboration with team in Prague.

What you will do

• Install, configure, manage, and monitor Zscaler security solutions (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX).
• Identify and escalate urgent Zscaler-related security incidents and system faults.
• Perform independent analysis, design, and execute assigned Zscaler projects.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for Zscaler configurations and policies.
• Respond to end-user inquiries and communicate about Zscaler security services.
• Provide standby or on-call support outside office hours.

Requirements

• Advanced English proficiency required for international environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Zscaler technology or another zero trust technology.
• Knowledge of IT security market standards and their real-world implementation.
• Understanding of IT security processes in corporate environments.
• Knowledge of managed network technologies (loadbalancers, firewalls, routers, etc.).

Nice to have

• Experience with Zscaler in financial or enterprise settings.
