What you will do

• Develop high-quality software using Pega PRPC v7.x/v8.x to support large-scale IT systems.
• Collaborate with solution architects and Business Analysts to ensure architecture compliance and design standards.
• Mentor junior developers through training and code reviews to enhance team technical capabilities.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment infrastructure.
• Monitor and debug application performance using Pega's built-in tools and database traces.
• Ensure compliance with government privacy standards and 508 accessibility requirements.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in Pega PRPC v7.x/v8.x application development.
• Minimum of 3 years of Java development experience with strong OO analysis skills.
• CSSA certification required; Lead System Architect (LSA) certification is highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of Pega architecture, DCO, and REST/SOAP API integrations.
• Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline or a related field.
• Must be able to complete fingerprinting at a government facility and undergo a background check.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pega Healthcare Foundation framework.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and Pega Deployment Manager.
• Experience with Pega cloud or public cloud platforms.
• Previous experience working on Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) projects.
