Senior Software Engineer (Elixir)

Senior Software Engineer (Elixir): Build new features in Elixir and Phoenix LiveView for billing and subscription management platform with an accent on payment processing, scalable UI/UX, and monetization across the company. Location: Remote from specific US states only (AR, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KY, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, OK, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI). Must reside in one of these states. No H-1B visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Build features in Elixir and Phoenix LiveView for billing, quoting, invoicing, and subscription management.
• Ship code frequently in CI/CD environment following agile principles.
• Collaborate with US and Romania-based engineering teams on priorities.
• Troubleshoot bugs, outages, and customer support issues.
• Research, prototype, and contribute to technical decisions.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent + 5+ years professional Elixir/Erlang experience.
• Experience with payment processing and billing systems like Stripe.
• Proven experience building scalable UI/UX for SaaS products.
• GraphQL for APIs, GCP, PostgreSQL.
• Agile, CI/CD, observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana.
• Strong ownership, collaboration, problem-solving, communication, Git, TDD.

Nice to have

• Exposure to open-source development.
• Rust, Typescript.
