What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and other backend systems.
• Own and solve problems from end-to-end across a wide range of systems and technologies.
• Uphold high engineering standards and ensure consistency across codebases and processes.
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• Collaborate with engineers across the company to build new features at scale.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

Requirements

• Good expertise in the development of scalable web applications down to system levels.
• Expertise in various backend technologies, especially Kotlin, JavaScript, Ruby, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with different cloud providers and infrastructure as code (AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, CDK).
• Proficiency in designing APIs (OpenAPI, Contracts) and working with distributed systems.
• Hold yourself and your team to a high bar when working with production systems.
• Take pride in working on projects to successful completion involving a wide variety of technologies and systems.

• Experience or interest in building data intensive applications.
