What you will do

• Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts across SIEM, EDR, network, and cloud environments.
• Coordinate the full incident response lifecycle, including investigation, containment, and post-incident reviews.
• Own vulnerability management activities, including scanning, prioritization, and remediation tracking.
• Review and improve security controls across cloud (AWS/Azure), endpoint, network, and application environments.
• Partner with IT, engineering, and external vendors to reduce security risk and support compliance audits.
• Maintain security documentation, risk records, and contribute to the maturity of security practices and standards.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in security operations (SOC), incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Cloud security exposure across AWS, Azure, or similar environments.
• Deep understanding of IOCs, MITRE ATT&CK, phishing, and malware techniques.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as Essential Eight, ISO 27001, or NIST CSF.
• Must be based in Australia and able to work in a hybrid arrangement from the South Melbourne office.
