Software Engineer II

TL;DR

Software Engineer II: Design, implement, test, and deliver high-quality software applications and systems with an accent on scalability, maintainability, and security. Location: Onsite at State College, PA headquarters; remote work is not an option. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.

What you will do

• Design, implement, test, and deliver high-quality software applications and systems
• Apply architectural and coding principles for scalability, maintainability, and security
• Identify technical debt, improve performance, readability, and developer experience
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects in team areas of ownership
• Participate in code reviews, plan work, and communicate progress with teammates and stakeholders
• Assist with production issues, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement
• Develop expertise, mentor juniors, and stay current with technologies

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks like React, Vue.js, .NET Core, or Node.js
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
