What you will do

• Lead the design, prototyping, and implementation of high-impact features and tools for the Vault ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Product Design and Product Management to align technical solutions with business priorities.
• Act as a Golang subject matter expert, influencing internal engineering standards and the external community.
• Break down complex projects across multiple teams and evaluate technical tradeoffs to maintain momentum.
• Mentor and empower teammates through technical guidance, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Identify potential technical issues and recommend improvements to maintain quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Go for developing complex, production-grade applications.
• Experience with Linux (including troubleshooting and bash scripting).
• Experience with relational/NoSQL databases and distributed systems.
• Proven track record with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, focusing on scalability and security.
• Must have the ability to work in the US without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Practical experience using HashiCorp products such as Vault, Terraform, Packer, Nomad, or Consul.
