Software Engineer III/Senior, Admin (Go): Building and operating the control plane, identity, and access control systems for a cloud networking platform with an accent on IAM, RBAC, and global configuration at scale. Location: Must be based in the US. Hybrid for those near San Francisco (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), remote for candidates outside the Bay Area.
Compensation: Senior $165,600 – $225,000; SE III $147,200 – $200,000

What you will do
- Design and operate services and APIs for the admin control plane that define production behavior.
- Develop and evolve IAM/RBAC systems for users, certificates, and service accounts.
- Build scalable global configuration systems for domains, policies, and traffic behavior.
- Improve observability across admin workflows to enable efficient debugging.
- Collaborate with product and platform teams to deliver stable and usable production features.
- Ensure admin systems remain scalable, reliable, and resistant to misuse.
Requirements
- Experience building robust backend systems that are correct and hard to misuse.
- Proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, or C/C++.
- Strong understanding of APIs and distributed systems.
- Must be based in the US and legally authorized to work on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Experience with Admin platforms, IAM, or enterprise SaaS.
- Knowledge of certificates and identity systems.
- Experience with observability tools.
