What you will do

• Lead the design and development of backend services and APIs powering the Machine Identity Security control plane.
• Drive backend architecture and system design with a focus on scalability, reliability, and extensibility.
• Design and operate high-throughput, multi-tenant SaaS distributed systems, optimizing for latency and data consistency.
• Build integrations between the control plane and external tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through design reviews and technical leadership.
• Influence backend direction and engineering standards across multiple teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with ownership of complex backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java (primary); experience with Go is a plus.
• Deep expertise in designing and scaling distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in SaaS environments.
• Experience with data streaming, messaging systems (e.g., Kafka), Docker, and Kubernetes.
