Operations Engineer (Starlink Growth)

Location: Bastrop, Texas, United States. Requires extended hours and weekends as needed, with travel to customer sites, other SpaceX locations, and events.

What you will do

• Improve Starlink customer experience and products through technical analysis, prioritization, and implementation.
• Identify engineering and product defects in the user experience and drive operational improvements.
• Analyze end-user metrics and customer lifetime value drivers across hardware and services.
• Develop and operationalize predictive models, customer retention interventions, outreach campaigns, and automation.
• Design and execute A/B tests to validate engagement and retention improvements.
• Coordinate with engineering, customer support, finance, legal, and supply chain while reporting performance, risks, and opportunities to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, data science, physics, or another quantitative field.
• At least 1 year of experience in engineering, manufacturing, product management, operations, consulting, entrepreneurship, or venture capital.
• At least 1 year of experience with Python, SQL, programming, or industrial project management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Must satisfy U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship or nationality, U.S. lawful permanent residency, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with R, Tableau, Power BI, Power Query, Looker, Excel modeling, database structures, or similar data tools.
• Quantitative dual degree in engineering and economics or business, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to drive measurable impact, influence broader organizations, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
