Customer Success Advisor – Reservoir Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Midland, Texas; candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Midland/Odessa area. Travel up to 25% is required.

What you will do

• Serve as a technical advisor to unconventional oil and gas operators and investors.
• Guide clients in using AI-driven tools for development planning, reserves assessment, production optimization, and capital allocation.
• Advise clients on integrating data solutions into engineering workflows and resolve technical challenges with engineering and product teams.
• Deliver training workshops, product deep-dives, and technical enablement sessions.
• Develop account strategies, build relationships with client stakeholders, and drive measurable platform adoption.
• Share client feedback with product teams and communicate platform enhancements, use cases, and outcomes.

Requirements

• Must be located in Midland, Texas, or willing to relocate to the Midland/Odessa area; the role is on-site.
• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in unconventional resources as a reservoir, production, completions, or geoscience professional.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, including data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization.
• Experience building analytical datasets, working with time-series production and completion data, and joining large public and proprietary datasets.
• Strong communication, organization, and independent project-management skills, with experience explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of big data practices, workflow automation, or machine learning applied to production and completion data.
• Experience with REST APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, AWS, or third-party energy data sources.
• Experience with oil and gas software such as Novi, Spotfire, ARIES, or ArcGIS.
• Curiosity and self-directed learning in data science, machine learning, or AI.
