What you will do

• Perform general welding tasks using MIG, TIG, arc welding, plasma cutting, and oxy acetylene equipment
• Support fabrication and construction activities in the mechanical workshop
• Assist with day-to-day mechanical tasks and workshop operations
• Maintain welding tools and equipment in safe, serviceable condition
• Ensure proper use of PPE, adherence to safety procedures, and keep workshop areas clean and organized

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent technical schooling
• Skilled in manual lathe and milling machine operations
• Adequate technical training in mechanical workshop practices
• Practical welding skills across common workshop processes
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a welding or mechanical workshop environment
• Experience operating a variety of workshop machines; hands-on mechanical and fabrication experience essential
