What you will do

• Lead the design of critical turbomachinery components, including shafts, discs, rotor assemblies, casings, and sealing systems.
• Perform and guide structural, thermal, and life analysis, focusing on fatigue (LCF/HCF), creep, and vibration.
• Integrate rotor dynamics, bearing selection, and lubrication system routing.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to define materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes such as forging and additive manufacturing.
• Support engine build and test activities, including instrumentation definition and test execution.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers and owning the mechanical design of specific modules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 8–12 years of professional experience in turbomachinery mechanical design.
• Proven track record across the full development lifecycle, from concept through to production and service.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Nice to have

• Experience specifically with turbojet or small gas turbine engines.
• Deep expertise in bearings, lubrication systems, and sealing technologies.
• Experience supporting production ramp-up with evolving designs.
• Familiarity with industry certification and qualification standards.
