Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (Kubernetes): Building and automating infrastructure for US Navy microservices with an accent on CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and secure environment deployments. Location: Hybrid and Onsite in San Diego, CA. Must be a US Citizen and hold or be able to obtain an active U.S. national security clearance.

Salary: $135,000 - $195,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and maintain critical CI/CD pipelines that engineering teams rely on.
• Automate infrastructure to ensure environments are predictable and supportable.
• Support containerized platforms within secure, regulated environments.
• Collaborate directly with software and cyber engineers to resolve delivery problems.
• Adapt technical stacks and infrastructure to meet varying program needs and priorities.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and active U.S. national security clearance (or ability to receive and maintain one).
• CompTIA Security+ Certification (or ability to obtain one within 45 days of hire).
• 5+ years of experience with containerization (Docker, Podman, Buildah) and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm).
• Proficiency with CI/CD automation tools (GitLab, Jenkins, AWS Code Build).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud computing infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
• Full stack software development skills (Java, Python, TypeScript, React, SQL).
• Experience with Atlassian suite tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
