What you will do

  • Rebuild product accounting processes for loans, credit cards, and cash advances from the ground up using industry best practices.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close across product accounting, including balance sheet reconciliations and revenue accruals.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data Infrastructure, and BI to ensure proper accounting treatment is designed into new products.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Capital Markets, and senior leadership to identify cross-functional risks and opportunities.
  • Establish documentation and internal controls to ensure the company is audit-ready and meets regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and mentor two direct reports, setting the direction for their professional development.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of accounting experience with deep expertise in fintech product accounting (loans, credit cards, or cash advances).
  • Experience spanning both high-growth startups and rigorous public company environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting operations.
  • Must be based in the US.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
