TL;DR

Technical Services Engineer (hirify.global): Advising customers and solving complex problems across the hirify.global ecosystem, including database servers, drivers, cloud, and infrastructure, with an accent on architecture, performance, and security. Focus on resolving high-scale production issues, benchmarking, and developing internal diagnostic tools.

Location: Must be based in Dublin, Ireland. Requires in-office work Monday to Friday for the first 3-6 months, transitioning to a hybrid model with 3 in-office days per week.

What you will do

  • Solve complex architectural, performance, recovery, and security challenges for the largest customers.
  • Provide expert guidance on running hirify.global at scale using industry best practices.
  • Advocate for customer needs by interfacing with product management and development teams.
  • Contribute to internal software development for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostic tools.

Requirements

  • Strong technical experience in systems administration, distributed systems, or network administration.
  • Expertise in database architecture, data design, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to work a shift pattern including weekend coverage (Sunday-Thursday).

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Java, Python, Ruby, C/C++, C#, Javascript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl.
  • Experience administering large-scale production environments on Linux or Windows.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
