What you will do
- Design, analyze, and perform Verification & Validation (V&V) of autonomous vehicle system architecture.
- Develop autonomous driving systems and construct safety cases to document and defend the integrity of the solution.
- Define safety goals and requirements based on the Operational Design Domain (ODD), hazards, and risks.
- Create and manage requirements documentation, traceability, and system architecture.
- Develop data collection and analysis pipelines to support V&V processes.
- Establish and oversee rigorous engineering standards essential for fail-safe performance.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with systems engineering, including V Model, requirements documentation, and V&V.
- Experience generating safety artifacts such as HARAs, FMEAs, FTAs, and STPAs.
- Experience developing and deploying robotic systems or autonomous vehicles with safety-critical components.
- Basic experience with Functional Safety and SOTIF.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and reporting.
Nice to have
- MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience with DOORS, Jama, Polarion, or Enterprise Architect.
- Knowledge of safety standards like ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, IEC 61508, ANSI B56.5, and ISO 3691.
- Experience with safety in aviation, airline, or robotics applications.
- Background in cybersecurity for automated vehicles or data science and statistical analysis.
