M&E Associate (Data Analytics): Supporting the execution and analysis of A/B tests across programs to inform product and program decisions with an accent on experimental design and causal inference. Location: Fully remote, but requires regular travel within East Africa (up to 25% of the time). Position mentioned in relation to Rwanda and Kenya.
Salary: $42,000 – $46,200 (Benchmark for Kenya)

What you will do
- Execute and manage a portfolio of rapid A/B tests, including performing power calculations and setting up experimental designs.
- Coordinate experiment implementation across Programs and Product teams to ensure alignment with research plans.
- Manage and clean datasets using R, Python, or Stata, ensuring high data quality and reliability.
- Analyze experimental data to assess effect magnitude and direction to inform program iterations.
- Translate findings into actionable recommendations and concise learning products for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external Principal Investigators and academic partners on measurement approaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, or a related quantitative field.
- 2–4 years of experience in applied data settings (experimentation, evaluation, or analytics).
- Strong understanding of causal inference and experimental design (randomization, statistical power, bias).
- Proficiency in R, Python, or Stata for data manipulation and analysis.
- Fluency in English required.
- Ability to travel within East Africa up to 25% of the time.
