Salary: $186,065 — $218,900 USD

What you will do

• Partner with Engineering and Finance leadership to build tooling that provides real-time visibility into the financial impact of architectural decisions.
• Develop and maintain the core features of the internal FinOps Hub to transform raw cloud and vendor data into actionable insights.
• Own the integration of vendor billing APIs to ensure high accuracy and seamless flow of cost data into allocation models.
• Drive a culture of cost-awareness by implementing automated tagging and chargeback/showback systems.
• Collaborate with vendors to optimize contracts and ensure resources are right-sized to eliminate waste.

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and how primitives are provisioned and billed.
• Strong proficiency in backend software engineering using Go, Python, or Ruby.
• Track record of delivering high-quality, production-ready code.
• Strong analytical skills to trace cost anomalies back to infrastructure changes and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in the FinOps domain, cloud economics, or infrastructure optimization tools.
• Experience building internal developer tools, dashboards, or portals.
• Professional certifications such as FinOps Certified Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
