What you will do

• Lead the operational planning, administration, and strategic management of Geering Up School Programs.
• Manage an annual budget of $600,000 and conduct market research to evaluate program competitiveness.
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment, training, and performance management for student staff and professional coordinators.
• Develop and evaluate STEM curricula for K-12 students and teachers, including computer science and engineering.
• Build and maintain relationships with school boards, educators, and community partners across BC.
• Secure funding through grant applications and ensure compliance reporting for provincial and federal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of two years of related experience.
• Must be able to travel to various locations within British Columbia.
• Must be able to produce a valid criminal record check.
• Proven ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage multiple projects.
• Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Nice to have

• Experience in the STEM outreach ecosystem.
• Detailed knowledge of the operation of an Actua outreach program.
• Experience in outreach program delivery, event planning, and STEM pedagogy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with media and public relations agencies.
