What you will do

• Build and execute proactive media strategy aligned to company priorities, emphasizing oncology.
• Develop media plans, identify news angles, and drive high-quality coverage across outlets.
• Build relationships with reporters, pitch stories, and manage inbound inquiries.
• Oversee external PR agency, set goals, and ensure alignment with strategy.
• Partner cross-functionally to develop stories from clinical data, innovations, and milestones.
• Manage media assets, support executive visibility, and coordinate third-party engagements.

Requirements

• Must be US-based
• Experience in healthcare, biotech, or life sciences strongly preferred, communicating complex scientific data.
• Demonstrated success securing media coverage across national, local, and trade outlets.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills, experience drafting press materials and pitches.
• Experience managing external PR agencies and building reporter relationships.
• Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years in communications and media relations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint/Google Slides, digital tools.
