Salary: $105,000 - $113,000 a year

What you will do
- Provide strategic communications guidance to affiliates to advance health care access and counter legislative or legal attacks.
- Develop and execute media campaigns to shape narratives supporting the organization's campaign priorities.
- Draft and review press releases, op-eds, talking points, and briefing notes to support media relations.
- Proactively pitch national and state-level media and build relationships with new outlets.
- Manage day-to-day media relations, including pitching and media monitoring.
- Provide expert guidance on crisis communications and conduct media training for spokespeople.
Requirements
- Must be based in Washington, DC or New York, NY (Hybrid).
- 5 years of media experience with a demonstrated ability to pitch and land stories in regional and national media.
- Bachelor’s Degree or high school diploma with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commitment to the mission of .
- Knowledge of communicating with diverse groups and multicultural workforces.

- Spanish language proficiency.
