Member Consultant

TL;DR

Member Consultant (Financial Services): Delivering seamless member experience through sales consultation and expertise in hirify.global products with an accent on consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts. Focus on diagnosing financial needs, signing loan documents, and providing financial wellness assistance including budgeting and debt management.

Location: Onsite at Mercer Island Neighborhood Financial Center; reliable transportation and ability to travel to Mercer Island and Tukwila required. Training at Tukwila Financial Center.

Salary: $26.00 - $32.12 hourly (Member Consultant: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour).

What you will do

• Deliver exceptional customer service and sales consultations using deep product knowledge in business services, consumer lending, deposits, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts.
• Sign line and loan documents originating from inbound/outbound call centers to fulfill member needs.
• Assist the community with financial wellness through education programs, budgeting, debt management, and planning resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
• Minimum two years of experience in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environment
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient math aptitude and analytical skills
• Problem resolution, negotiation, organization, multi-tasking, and peer coaching skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts including up to 3 Saturdays per month and complete 12-week training program

Nice to have

• One year of experience in a financial institution
• Spanish language fluency
• Thorough understanding of sales process and pipeline management
• Strong proficiency with learning new systems
• Knowledge of credit union products, services, and relevant laws/regulations
