What you will do

  • Define and maintain fraud prevention and detection requirements for account onboarding, maintenance, and money movement.
  • Design and enhance data-driven fraud strategies to mitigate emerging risks while ensuring fair customer outcomes.
  • Oversee the fraud strategy roadmap, ensuring clear prioritization and risk-based execution.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate risk requirements into functional technical specifications.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing fraud strategy team to foster technical expertise and risk capability.
  • Monitor fraud trends and loss drivers through structured MI, dashboards, and control reporting.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in fraud risk management within financial services, specifically covering account lifecycle and payments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or managing teams in a risk or control-focused environment.
  • Deep understanding of fraud typologies and knowledge of UK and European payment regulations.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, Python, and Tableau.
  • Experience with modern data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to influence Product, Technology, Operations, and Compliance functions.
