Senior Backend Engineer (Go)

What you will do

• Design and build RESTful APIs for mobile clients.
• Design and build Kubernetes-based microservices and distributed systems in Go.
• Use cloud infrastructure and platform service components to operate reliable backend services.
• Own the technical design, implementation, and success of projects.
• Participate in a backend on-call rotation of one week every 8–11 weeks.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, ML, iOS, Android, and Data Engineering partners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience as a backend or service engineer.
• 4+ years of experience working in a cloud environment such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong programming skills, with Go required and Python experience beneficial.
• Deep understanding of distributed computing, event-based architecture, and cloud design patterns.
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, gRPC/Protobuf, Argo, Kafka, or similar cloud technologies.
• Strong writing, collaboration, and communication skills.
