Purchasing Manager (Medical Devices)

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite

Annual salary: $120,000–$150,000

What you will do

• Plan and implement procurement activities for materials, parts, components, equipment, and services.
• Direct and supervise buyers, including performance management, follow-up, talent development, and resource planning.
• Review and approve purchases while coordinating with Commodity Managers, manufacturing departments, vendors, and contract manufacturers.
• Maintain material availability and inventory levels to support production schedules and revenue commitments, including management of long-lead-time components.
• Build supplier relationships and lead continuous improvement initiatives such as lead-time reduction, Kanban, consignment, and vendor-managed inventory.
• Optimize the Source to Pay process and develop Oracle reports to measure transactional KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Operations, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of purchasing experience in high-tech manufacturing, including management of a buyer team.
• Previous direct supervisory and team leadership experience, including talent development and resource planning.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Oracle experience is preferred.
• Strong supplier negotiation, decision-making, analytical, organizational, communication, and detail-orientation skills.
• Must be able to work onsite in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and must not require current or future immigration sponsorship.
