QA Automation Technical Referent (Java): Leading the evolution of the test automation framework and defining the end-to-end testing strategy for a global payment processor with an accent on scalable backend services and API testing. Location: Must be based in Argentina, Uruguay, or Spain (Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Madrid, Barcelona). Hybrid work model.

What you will do
- Own, maintain, and evolve the test automation framework using Java, RestAssured, and JUnit/TestNG.
- Define and improve the multi-layer testing strategy, including unit, contract, integration, and E2E tests.
- Set, document, and enforce standards for test design, reliability, and maintainability.
- Mentor QA and software engineers on testing best practices through code reviews and workshops.
- Lead non-functional testing efforts for performance and security in collaboration with SRE and Security stakeholders.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve test efficiency, parallelization, and delivery speed.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in QA Automation with strong Java coding skills.
- Proven expertise in framework design and scaling using RestAssured and JUnit or TestNG.
- Practical experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines and conducting non-functional tests.
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities across cross-functional squads.
- Advanced English (mandatory).
- Must be based in Argentina or Uruguay (or mentioned hub cities).
Nice to have
- Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with production monitoring and telemetry tools such as New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, or Coralogix.
