What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team aligned with business goals and KPIs.
• Manage the Scope of Development Work (SODW) for fastening and inspection applications.
• Drive technical and execution readiness through MRL 4–7 gate reviews in line with GM standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, plants, and suppliers as PET lead.
• Develop and validate new plant process use cases, including layouts and simulations.
• Define and execute launch strategies from development through plant implementation and ramp-up.

Requirements

• 10+ years of manufacturing experience, specifically in assembly or powertrain engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in fastening or inspection systems (e.g., torque tools, vision systems).
• Proven ability to motivate teams, set clear objectives, and deliver results.
• Strong communication skills for simplifying complex technical topics for senior leadership.
• Must be based in or able to work in Warren, Michigan.

• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Background in launch, supplier management, and strategy execution.
• Experience working with cross-functional global teams in high-pressure environments.
• Master’s degree or higher in a technical or managerial discipline.
