What you will do

• Define the engineering strategy for your functional area, aligning roadmap and investments with company direction.
• Lead a large, globally distributed engineering organization, supporting Directors and Engineering Managers.
• Drive operational excellence through engineering metrics, incident management, and reliability practices.
• Champion AI-native engineering practices across developer tooling, code review, and CI/CD.
• Partner with Product Management and Finance on headcount planning, budgeting, and investment tradeoffs.
• Represent the engineering organization in executive discussions and board-level conversations.

Requirements

• Experience leading large engineering organizations across multiple product areas in a distributed environment.
• Strong technical credibility in architecture, engineering quality, reliability, and system design.
• Direct experience modernizing a monolithic application into a modular, independently deployable architecture.
• Experience developing or scaling design systems between platform and product teams.
• Familiarity with AI-powered product development or integrating AI into developer workflows.
• Ability to operate effectively in a remote-first, asynchronous, documentation-heavy culture.
