What you will do

• Develop backends for mobile applications and web applications used by healthcare providers.
• Implement high-quality web application code with a focus on stability, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Serve as a technical leader and mentor for junior engineers, spending 80-90% of time on hands-on coding.
• Integrate AI tools and GenAI solutions into existing systems and the software development lifecycle.
• Lead large projects by anticipating infrastructure needs and proposing architectural improvements.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to triage and resolve production reliability issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience writing readable, tested, and efficient code.
• Proficiency in Ruby or Python.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Proven track record of designing scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LLMs and GenAI best practices.
• Experience using AI development tools like Cursor or Copilot.
• Deep understanding of logging, monitoring, and telemetry.
