What you will do

• Design and operate reconciliation systems, including the SSS backend, to track and repair drift across customer stack configurations.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure stack lifecycle workflows remain reliable, observable, and resilient.
• Manage rollout mechanisms for provisioned plugins, dashboards, data sources, and Grafana versions.
• Support new region and cluster rollouts to bring stacks online safely in new Grafana Cloud regions.
• Improve incident response and recovery paths for stack misalignment and reconciliation failures.
• Contribute to roadmap planning, technical design, and long-term simplification of stack operations.

Requirements

• Professional experience with Golang.
• Strong Kubernetes experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure, and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Helm, Terraform, Jsonnet).
• Experience working on large SaaS platforms dealing with distributed systems problems like scalability and multi-tenancy.
• Minimum 1 year of fully remote work experience.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers in a collaborative, asynchronous environment.
• Ability to analyze, design, and build modular solutions, delivering MVPs and progressing iteratively.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes control-plane patterns, operators, or reconcilers.
• Experience with Jsonnet/Tanka, Flux, or Argo.
• Background in SaaS provisioning, tenancy, or regional expansion.
