Salary: zł304,000–zł456,000 per year

What you will do

• Own the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of high-quality Golang services used by millions of users.
• Lead the full SDLC for multi-developer initiatives from product discovery and architecture to delivery and support.
• Define cross-squad technical direction and system boundaries for mission-critical backend areas.
• Translate product and customer needs into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with PMs and SREs.
• Proactively manage technical debt and establish standards for code quality and automated testing.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and observability while driving production incident resolution.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 5+ years focused on backend or integration engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in Go (Golang) and strong experience with Docker and containerized development.
• Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and performant data modeling.
• Practical cloud experience, preferably with AWS and Terraform (IaC).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems concepts and event-driven architectures using Kafka.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Kraków office.

Nice to have

• Experience with PHP and/or Laravel for cross-team integrations.
• Knowledge of analytical stores like ClickHouse or columnar OLAP databases.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog and Sentry.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Spinnaker).
