What you will do
- Develop messaging and positioning to align product, sales, and leadership as Novus evolves.
- Own the end-to-end GTM plan, including audience targeting, channel strategy, and launch execution.
- Drive top-of-funnel acquisition, early access signups, and free-to-paid conversion.
- Build developer community presence via forums, social channels, and influencer relationships.
- Design PLG motions, including self-serve onboarding and activation flows.
- Create sales enablement materials tailored for product engineers and application owners.
Requirements
- 7+ years of marketing experience, with 2-3 years owning GTM for technical products at the IC level.
- Technical fluency: ability to understand codebase, PRs, and deploy cycles.
- AI-native workflow: proficient use of tools like Claude or ChatGPT to accelerate output.
- Strong storytelling skills to translate technical depth into a compelling narrative.
- Hands-on experience building trust and awareness within developer communities like Hacker News or GitHub.
- Must be based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY.
Nice to have
- Experience with PLG go-to-market motions (self-serve acquisition, community-led distribution).
- Familiarity with product analytics, instrumentation, or observability tools.
- Experience marketing to open source, dev tools, or AI coding tool communities.
