What you will do

• Design and develop special tools and fixtures for assembly and fabrication operations.
• Create detailed tool design CAD models and drawings using CATIA V5.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions for manufacturing aircraft components.
• Provide onsite shop floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
• Support tooling vendors during the fabrication phase and ensure configuration control.
• Conduct root cause analysis of tooling issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in STEM.
• Active Secret security clearance with investigation within the last 5 years.
• Experience with CATIA V5 software.
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and metrology data.
• Practical experience in tool design and fabrication support.

Nice to have

• Experience with CATIA V4 software.
• Hands-on mechanical experience and jig building.
• Experience with composite part families (layup, trim, bond, and assembly fixtures).
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
