Java Developer (Igaming)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain microservices for a new greenfield payments ecosystem.
• Participate in architectural design decisions and collaborate with frontend developers, testers, and business analysts.
• Liaise with architects and infrastructure specialists to develop technical solutions for implementation and deployment.
• Scope and conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for new technical approaches.
• Work within an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning and task estimation.
• Join an out-of-hours (OOH) on-call technical support rotation to ensure system stability.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience as a Java developer.
• Strong proficiency in Java 11+ and the Spring ecosystem.
• Solid experience with SQL (preferably MySQL) and ORMs like JPA/Hibernate.
• Proven ability to design and build RESTful web service APIs and clients.
• Knowledge of Java concurrency, multithreading, Maven, and Linux.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins.
• English: Very good oral and written communication skills required.
• Location: Must be based in or be able to work hybridly from the listed European locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with asynchronous messaging (Kafka or RabbitMQ) and distributed caching (Hazelcast or Redis).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of the Quarkus framework.
• Background in Online Gaming or Payments industries.
• Ability to develop back-office applications using JS, React, or Angular.
