TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (GCP): Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure solutions within Google Cloud Platform with an accent on infrastructure automation and cloud security. Focus on developing IaC via Terraform, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance with federal security standards like FedRAMP and NIST.

Location: Hybrid, On-site 4 days/week in Washington, D.C. and 1 day Telework. U.S. Citizenship Required.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using GCP.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
• Support CI/CD pipeline automation, integration, and management.
• Collaborate with software engineers and government stakeholders to support deployment workflows.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure cloud services meet SLAs.
• Implement cloud best practices and ensure compliance with federal security standards (FedRAMP, NIST).

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required and willingness to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with at least 2 years on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, BigQuery).
• Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts and understanding of ATO processes.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
