DevOps Engineer

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer: Design, develop, and manage automation and integration solutions for cloud infrastructure and application platforms with an accent on continuous integration, infrastructure-as-code, and lifecycle management. Focus on implementing scalable deployments, migrating workloads to AWS and Azure, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system reliability and performance.

Location: Tysons, Virginia (office 4 days a week). No sponsorship for employment authorization or immigration support available.

What you will do

• Design and develop tools and frameworks for continuous integration and automated infrastructure management across cloud stack layers.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Ansible, AWX, Puppet, and Terraform for scalable deployments.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams on deployment best practices in hirify.global cloud environment.
• Architect and migrate on-premises workloads to AWS and Azure hyperscalers.
• Troubleshoot issues across development, staging, and production; participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve efficiency, observability, and develop runbooks and monitoring standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, AWS, Azure, Ansible, AWX, Puppet, Terraform.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows; containerization with Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Rancher.
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, ArgoCD), monitoring (PagerDuty, Grafana, New Relic), scripting (Bash, Python, Go, C#, PowerShell).
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Experience with highly available SaaS environments (99.999% uptime).
• Operating large-scale cloud infrastructure for distributed applications.
